Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Business Blueprints ("we," "us," or "I") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit this site or work with me on a 1:1 Blueprint build.

The short version: I collect the minimum needed to talk to you, deliver your Blueprint, and keep my business running. I don't sell your data. I don't run ad-tracking pixels. If anything here is unclear, email me.

1. Who I am

Business Blueprints is operated by Brennan Macneil. You can reach me at hello@business-blueprints.com.

2. What I collect

Information you give me directly

  • Contact details — name, email, business name, phone (if you share it)
  • Project information — anything you tell me about your business so I can scope and deliver the Blueprint (revenue, team, processes, customers, internal docs)
  • Payment information — handled by my payment processor (Stripe). I don't store full card numbers; I see only what Stripe shows me (last 4 digits, billing name)

Information collected automatically

  • Basic site analytics — pages visited, approximate location (city-level), browser type, referring URL. This is collected by my hosting provider (Netlify or Vercel) for security and traffic monitoring.
  • Fonts — this site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google sees your IP address when the page loads.

What I don't collect

No advertising cookies, no Facebook Pixel, no third-party retargeting. No selling of email lists.

3. How I use your information

  • To respond to your inquiries and book intro calls
  • To scope, deliver, and refine your Blueprint
  • To process payment and send invoices
  • To send service-related emails (kickoff schedule, deliverables, post-handoff follow-up)
  • To improve this website and my service
  • To comply with legal obligations (tax records, etc.)

4. Third-party services I use

I use a small number of trusted tools to run my business. Each has its own privacy policy:

  • Stripe — payments
  • Calendly (or Cal.com) — call booking
  • Google Workspace / Gmail — email
  • Netlify or Vercel — site hosting
  • Notion / Figma / Loom — collaboration during your build

These services may receive your information when you interact with them. I only share what's necessary to deliver the service.

5. How long I keep your information

Active client information: kept for the duration of the build plus 2 years for support and reference. After that, it's archived or deleted on request.

Inquiry emails (where we didn't end up working together): kept up to 12 months, then deleted.

Financial records: kept for 6+ years to comply with tax law.

6. Your rights

You can ask me to:

  • See what information I have about you
  • Correct anything inaccurate
  • Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements above)
  • Stop emailing you

Email hello@business-blueprints.com and I'll handle it within 30 days.

7. Security

I use reasonable measures to protect your information — encrypted email, password-protected accounts, two-factor authentication on sensitive tools. No system is 100% secure, but I treat your business information like I'd want mine treated.

8. Children

This service is not directed at children under 16. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under that age.

9. International users

I'm based in Canada. If you're contacting me from outside Canada, your information will be transferred to and processed in Canada and other countries where my service providers operate (e.g., the United States).

10. Changes to this policy

If I update this policy, I'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, I'll email active clients directly.

11. Contact

Note: This is a starter privacy policy. Specific laws (PIPEDA, GDPR, CCPA, etc.) may add requirements for your situation. Have a lawyer review before relying on this for compliance.
